The, Art Deco, National Basilica of the Sacred Heart, a Roman Catholic Minor Basilica and parish church, is situated in Brussels, Belgium. The first stone of the basilica was laid in 1905, but was halted by the two World Wars, and finished only in 1969.

Saw this on r/mildlyinteresting, thought you'd appreciate it! Our company logo is projected onto a waterfall in the lobby. The algae started to grow only in the lit spots.
On a hilltop, near Reykjavík, the Hallgrímskirkja is one of the city's best-known landmarks and is visible throughout the city. Architect Guðjón Samúelsson's design of the church was commissioned in 1937. He is said to have designed it to resemble the trap rocks, mountains and glaciers of Iceland.
